The Far East meets Down East

The Shambhala Buddhist network, the creation of a high ranking Tibetan monk in exile who viewed the survival of Tibetan culture as something linked to its presence in the Western psyche, chose Halifax, Nova Scotia as its headquarters.

Arriving from all over the world, Shambhalans have managed to both blend into this small Atlantic city as well as enhance its personality.
